The seat of the soul is between and behind the two eye-brows. This at least is accepted by all yogas. It is to this point that mystics refer when they speak of Shiv Netra, Divya Chakshu, Tisra Til, Brahmarendra, Triambka, Trilochana, Nukta-i-sweda, Koh-i-toor, Third Eye or Single Eye, figuratively called the still point, the mount of transfiguration etc.

The Third Eye must be opened to see the Light of God.

The light of the body is the eye;
if therefore thine eye be single,
Thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full
of darkness.
If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness,
How great is that darkness.

When the soul currents withdraw from the
Sensory plane in the nine outlets
And get concentrated at the still point in the body
In the tenth door at the back of the eyes,
It is only then that one,
with the guidance of the Master,
is able to contact the heavenly music
that plays interminably.

Open thy inner eye
So that thou witnesseth the glory of God.
Close thy ears and thy mouth
And become just all Eye
So as to behold His glory.

He is not a blind man
Who has no eyes on his face,
But one whose inner eye is not open to see
The light of God within.
