The Lord of heaven and earth dwelleth not in temples made with hands.
Know ye not that ye are the temples of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you?
(Bible)

As the pupil is in the eye,
Even so is the Creator in the body.
(Kabir)

In the body itself there is everything:
The spiritual region,
the heavenly plateaux
And the material planes.
In the body dwells the Lord Supreme
Who nourishes all.
(Guru Nanak)
Enter ye the temple of the body
and listen to the divine melodies,
Those sitting around thee,
shall not hear them.
(Maulana Rumi)

You find in the outer holy places of worship that we have
got with us, that they are made after the model of man.
Hindu temples are all dome-shaped like head. There you find
the symbols of light and sound: a bell is ringing and the
light is there. Go to the churches: they are cross-shaped or
nose-shaped (in the ground-plan). Therein you find a candle
burning and bells ringing. When they say prayers in the
Hindu temple, they light a candle and ring the bell. So these
are models (of the manbody) placed before us to let us know
that such like light and such like sound principle is reverberating
within you.
(Sant Kirpal Singh)
